Who Will Be The Next Judges On ‘American Idol’?
ABC We’ve known for a while that Katy Perry will be one of the judges on the ABC reboot of American Idol. What nobody knows yet is who will be joining her on the panel. Who will be the Simon Cowell to her Paula Abdul? There are plenty of rumors buzzing around the internet. Here are some of them.

Lionel Richie
This is the one we’re hearing most often. Lionel would be a good choice. He’s been in the business for 50 years as both a performer and a producer. I’m sure he know his stuff. Also, I can see him getting on well with Katy.
Keith Urban
Keith wouldn’t be a bad idea. Country music is everywhere these days and has been shown by Blake Sheldon on The Voice, people love country. It would behoove them to have someone there from that world.
Kanye West
These turned out to be just a rumor. Kanye was supposedly having Kim talk to Ryan Seacrest about having him as a judge. The producers reportedly talked to him and he made a bunch of crazy demands, as is Kanye’s want. I’m glad. Kanye would have been terrible for the show. He would have made it about himself…like he always does.
Charlie Puth
Another possibility is that singer/songwriter Charlie Puth will be on the judge’s panel. It would be nice to have someone who is also a big time producer on the show as they are more familiar with process.
Fergie
A lot of people were talking about former Black-Eyed Peas singer Fergie giving her opinion on the next big superstar but she didn’t want to do it and made that very clear. I don’t think her and Katy would have got along on the show. They would have been at each other’s throats.
