Ryan Seacrest is gearing up to replace Pat Sajak as the host of Wheel of Fortune. Recently, the show shared a preview for the new season featuring Seacrest and co-host Vanna White. Fans in the comments are divided over the change in host.
In a promo shared on social media, Seacrest says he “can’t wait to get to work” on the set of the game show. White then holds up a megaphone and says, “Let’s get you ready for fall!” We then see a quick montage of Seacrest training for his hosting gig.
Comments on the video show that fans are divided over the addition of Seacrest as the show’s host. Sajak emceed the show for 41 seasons before choosing to retire earlier this year. Some fans don’t seem to think Seacrest is a worthy replacement.
“What a poor choice!” wrote one Instagram commenter. Another suggested, “I think that Vanna should be the hostess for Wheel.” Someone else wrote, “Is he the only person available for these assignments?” Some fans even said they planned to stop watching the show.

Some Fans Are Willing to Give Him a Chance
Not all of the reactions to Seacrest were negative. Some fans were excited to watch him host the next season, while others were at least willing to give him a chance before passing judgment. As one user wrote, “I’m glad they picked Ryan.”
Another fan wrote that they were against Seacrest joining the show and thought they might not watch again. However, after watching the new promo, they added that they did an “instant 180,” writing, “I’m excited to see him do it, I think they did a great job casting him. I was too quick to be negative.”
