‘The Voice’ Beats Out ‘AGT’ For ‘Best Reality Competition Series’ At Critics’ Choice Awards
They say that every time it rains in LA a new awards show is born. But one of the best is the Critics’ Choice Awards. It was up against some stiff competition. America’s Got Talent (NBC), Chopped (Food Network), Dancing with the Stars (ABC), Project Runway (Lifetime), and RuPaul’s Drag Race (VH1) were all nominated. It’s a bit of a surprise that AGT and Dancing with the Stars didn’t win seeing as they have higher ratings than The Voice. But it’s what the critics like the most and The Voice was certainly a darling with the critics this year.
That’s because it was easily the best year in the 13 seasons that The Voice has been on. The sheer amount of raw talent that came on the series was astounding. Of course, Chloe Kohanski on team Blake ended up winning. We’ll see what happens. Depending on who they find AGT might give The Voice a run for its money next year.
