Famous talent show judges and coaches are known for devoting their time and money to charitable causes. Let’s take a look at the most generous talent show judges and coaches who have given significant donations to charity.

10. Carrie Ann Inaba

Having a profound love of animals at a young age, Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba launched her own animal foundation, The Carrie Ann Inaba Animal Project. Following the death of her beloved cat Shadow, Inaba immediately laid the groundwork for the project. Setting a goal of raising a million dollars in the first year, Inaba set up an auction where people can bid to win four tickets to the DWTS finale.

9. Grimes

The Alter Ego judge has given out $10,000 to Muslim civil rights group the CAIR foundation. The Council on American–Islamic Relations is a foundation done in response to the ban on immigration from a string of Muslim-majority countries.

8. Rita Ora

The Voice AU judge Rita Ora has donated $10,000 to London Fire Relief Fund. The organization is a division of the British Red Cross that helps rehabilitate those who were affected by the catastrophic Grenfell Tower fire.


7. Ken Jeong

The Masked Singer panelist Ken Jeong gave five $10,000 donations to the families of victims who were killed in Atlanta-area spa shootings. Jeong voiced his desire to put an end to anti-Asian racism in the aftermath of the shooting.

6. Katy Perry

Singer and songwriter, as well as American Idol judge Katy Perry, raised $100,000 for Baby2Baby, a non-profit charity organization. The charity aims to provide children living in poverty, with basic necessities like diapers and clothing. Perry raised the money through Spotify from her cover of “All You Need is Love,” by The Beetles.

5. John Legend

The Voice coach and EGOT winner John Legend together with his wife Chrissy Teigen donated $200,000 to fight harassment with Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund. Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund is a campaign that provides legal support and representation to victims of sexual violence. The celebrity couple has also supported abortion funds and local clinics.


4. JoJo Siwa

The 19-year-old influencer has founded the non-profit organization JoJo Siwa’s Childhood Cancer Foundation. The charity foundation aims to spread awareness and provide hope for children battling cancer. A notable donation came from pop singer Meghan Trainor giving a $100,000 check to Siwa’s charity fund.

3. David Walliams

Comedian David Walliams completed a challenge with Comic Relief on Sport Relief to swim the entire length of the river Thames for eight days. Walliams managed to raise more than £1,090,000 in online donations from fans who supported his efforts.

For those who may not know, Sport Relief is biennial charity event from Comic Relief, in association with BBC Sport, tons of British celebrities come together to raise money for the Charity Comic Relief.

2. Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton has always expressed his desire to donate to the Jimmy Everest Center which he did by giving them a check of $600,000. Jimmy Everest Center is an Oklahoma University hospital for children with blood cancer and blood disorders.

1. Simon Cowell

The talent show mogul has been very generous in showing support for children’s charity Together For Short Lives. Simon Cowell has reportedly donated £1,000,000 to the charity to help them out during the pandemic. Together with his partner Lauren Silverman, they donated a massive £320,000 to dog charity K9 friends of Barbados. The AGT judge is considered one of the wealthiest men in the UK, and his donations serve as a testament to his wealth.
