Gordon Ramsay’s Daughter, Tilly Ramsay is currently competing on Strictly Come Dancing. She and her partner Nikita Kuzmin have made it to week six of the competition and are practically ready to receive the trophy. With her almost perfect score last week, Tilly has shown the U.K. that she is much more than just a chef.
In Strictly Come Dancing, celebrities get one week to choreograph and rehearse ballroom dances with their professional partners. This week, Tilly and Nikita redeemed themselves after last week’s rocky paso doble. Their dance wasn’t bad to the naked eye, but judges said it was very start and stop, which is never a great note to receive.
Tilly Ramsay Has Challenging Week with University Exams, Unnecessary Comments
This week, the dance duo redeemed themselves after nailing their foxtrot to “Little Things” by One Direction. They received an almost-perfect score of 36 for this dance. The 19 year-old definitely showed that she can power through a difficult week.
On top of the show, she is also studying psychology at her University. With the amount of time it takes to rehearse the dances, she struggled to juggle exams and dance practices. As if she didn’t already have enough on her mind, she received extremely unnecessary criticism on a radio show this week.
19 year-old Body-Shamed over Her Father’s Professional Cooking
Steve Allen, a radio host on LBC, recently said hateful things about Tilly’s body on his live radio show. He called her a “chubby little thing” and concluded that it must be from her father’s cooking. In response, Tilly posted a letter written in notes on her phone.
Within this letter, she expressed that someone can share their opinion about her dance. The line should be drawn when it comes to her body. She acknowledged the fact that a 67 year-old man was shaming her for looking the way she does and how that’s not alright. It has been reported that the radio host has since sent a private apology to the celebrity dance contestant.
This week proved that Tilly can get through absolutely anything. While studying for exams, she managed to pull out an almost perfect score. I think this says a lot about her as a person and her ambition level. If she keeps it up, she could possibly be bringing home the Glitterball Trophy this season.
The dance duo will return to Strictly Come Dancing for next week’s Halloween week. Tilly shared that the upcoming week is always one of her favorites, so she’s grateful to still be part of the competition. Fans are just as excited as the celebrity for the upcoming week because this is the first Halloween week on Strictly Come Dancing since 2019. The upcoming episode will air on October 30.
