The Voice is back this week for Season 24, and the coaches marked the occasion by teaming up for a new performance. In a clip shared by the show, the four stars combine their talent for a cover of “Take It Easy” by the Eagles.
The Voice Coaches Sing ‘Take It Easy’
This season’s coaching lineup includes reigning champion Niall Horan, as well as returning coaches Gwen Stefani and John Legend. Rounding out the panel is new coach Reba McEntire, who’s taking over Blake Shelton’s seat.
The four of them teamed up for a performance of “Take It Easy” on the show’s stage. Each coach had their moment to shine, showing off their impressive vocal talents. This performance also displayed their chemistry together.
Fans shared their love for the clip on YouTube, with one user commenting, “Niall and Reba sound amazing together. We need a collab. He likes his country music too. Glad he got to sing a song by the Eagles.”
Another user pointed out that each of the coaches is “in a different decade of life” — Horan is 30, Legend is 44, Stefani is 53, and McEntire is 68. They complimented “the blend, the joy, the respect for one another in this performance.”
The New Season Premieres This Week
Season 24 of The Voice kicks off on Monday, September 25, at 8/7c on NBC. Fans can watch another episode on Tuesday at the same time, before the performance part of the America’s Got Talent finale airs.
As always, this season will start with the Blind Auditions, as artists take the stage to perform for the coaches, who can’t see them. If the coaches like what they hear, they’ll turn their chairs around in the hope of getting the singer on their team.
