The Voice began the next rounds of Battles with a festive intro. In the beginning, host Carson Daly acknowledged that was is Halloween, introducing each coach by their “spooky name.” This is the perfect way to begin the episode, since it premiered on Halloween!
Team Reba Kicks off The Night
The first battle of the night featured Team Reba members Dylan Carter and Tom Nitti. Ahead of the performance, the coach decided that the singers would perform “Til You Can’t” by Cody Johnson.
The rendition of this song was insanely beautiful. It was honestly one of the best Battles of the season in my book. It was so good that McEntire joked the duo should be put together like other people… on other shows (hint, Niall Horan, One Direction.) Reba picked Tom as her winner of the Battle.

Team Gwen Stuns With Technically Tough Song
Next in the competition was Team Gwen members Eli Ward to battle against Jason Arcilla. Following suit to the rest of the night, this is yet another performance that may have been one of the best of the season. Team Gwen has really put themselves on the board with this battle.
Coaches thought the song suited both singers. Legend even compared the performance to being serenaded. Stefani admitted that this was one of her favorite songs. When it was time for Stefani to pick the winner of the battle, she admitted that she had no idea who should win. After contemplating it, she decided that Jason was the winner of the battle.
As Eli walked off the stage, Legend admitted that he wanted to turn his chair for him. But, Eli wasn’t quite the correct singer for his team.
Mara Justine, Claudia B. Have Best Performance in The Voice Battle Rounds So Far
Also following suit with the episode, John Legend picked two of the best vocalists of the season to battle it out together. Singers Mara Justine and Claudia B. were paired together, given the task of singing “Son of a Preacher” by Jesse Springfield.
This battle was so evenly paired, but Mara really managed to shine out with her beautiful lower register. Legend admitted that Mara had a bit of edge over Claudia B, although her tone is beautiful, Mara put on more of a show. Luckily for Claudia B, her time on the series isn’t over yet. Before exiting the stage, Niall Horan hit his steal for the singer.
The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, November 6 for the end of the Battle Round and the beginning of the 3-Way Knockout Rounds.
