‘The Voice’ Recap: Blind Auditions Get Intense As Teams Fill Up
Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Voice premiered their fourth episode of blind auditions, beginning with “clown couture,” Italian singer, Kate Cosentino. With the teams filling up, coaches have began getting more and more selective of their turns.
Track Star Chloe Abbott Auditions for The Voice
Since the competition is getting tight, singers brought their A-game to the stage. Out of all the performers seen tonight, the most interesting had to be rising track star, Chloe Abbott. She’s been a participant at the 2021 US Olympic Track and Field Team Trials Participant, was a 2019 NCAA Runner Up, and is 6x First Team All-American. She’s currently in training for the 2024 olympics.
She came to the stage singing, “How Deep Is Your Love” by BeeGees. Although all of the coaches were impressed, only Chance The Rapper turned for the singer. While the coaches talked about Chloe’s performance, the show’s host Carson Daly brought out a lie detector for Shelton. The country singer began answering many questions like if Clarkson is his favorite coach, if he used his block on her, and more.
After sidetracking, Chloe took her spot on Team Chance. Chance The Rapper considered this singer “the voice I was trying to find.” Team Chance is already becoming a force to reckon with, so I’m excited to see them in the battle rounds.

Blake Shelton Admits He Turned for Singer Just to Annoy Kelly Clarkson
One of the last performers of the night was Dallas based singer Marcos Covos. He came to the stage with a show-stopping rendition of “Tu Solo Tu” by Selena. This rendition was absolutely beautiful, so beautiful that Clarkson spun her chair as soon as she could.
Throughout the song, Clarkson got excited at the fact that Marcos would have to join her team by default. Thanks to Shelton, things weren’t that simple for the talk show host. The country singer hit his red button at the end of the song. Although he didn’t admit it in front of the other coaches, behind the scenes he said he only turned to annoy Clarkson.
Since Shelton didn’t have much to say, other than “I don’t speak spanish,” Marcos joined Team Kelly. I think Marcos was a solid pick for Team Kelly, his vocal range is absolutely insane.
