‘The Masked Singer’ Star Todrick Hall Faces Must Pay $102K Following Rent Lawsuit

The Masked Singer celebrity Todrick Hall has been ordered to pay $102,000 after being sued for failing to pay rent on a Sherman Oaks home. The 37-year-old singer now faces a lawsuit after not heeding the pay or quit notice given to him back in March.
Todrick Hall Owes $102,000 in Rent
A default judgment was entered against Hall and is now ordered by a judge to pay $102K. According to newly released legal documents, Hall was sued in March for falling behind his rent on a Sherman Oaks home. He had previously made it seem as though he owned the home on social media.
Back in February, Hall showcased the home as his own in a YouTube video titled, “Bought My Dream Home!!! FULL TOUR.” The video has now gained over 500,000 views on the platform but received backlash from the viewers for false information.
“I have been wanting to buy a home for a very long time, and this is a dream come true.” Hall declared.
As it turns out, Hall was actually renting the 8,000-square-foot home. The lawsuit against him exposed that his monthly rent was $30,000 and he had failed to pay for several months.
The owners of the home, Avi and Orna Lavian, issued Hall and another occupant with a pay or quit notice. The homeowner’s complaint was then submitted to the court by the plaintiffs’ attorney on March 29. Hall is ordered by the judge to pay $100,000 in back rent, and another $2,000 in attorney fees and costs.
The Home Was Broken Into Earlier this Year
The mentioned lawsuit of $102,000 happened after getting sued by the same homeowners back in April. Back in April, Hall reportedly refused to pay back $60,000 rent. The amount only increased after Hall failed to comply to the three day notice given to him to either pay or be evicted from the property.
In July last year, Hall revealed that house was broken into, reporting that at least $50,000 worth of handbags and other items were stolen. The thieves allegedly broke a home window to gain entry, as Hall was staying in London at the time.
Unfortunately with all the legal problems surrounding Hall, he cannot make a way around this situation. Hall placed second during his time in The Masked Singer, and runner-up in the third season of Celebrity Big Brother.
