UFO Dethrones Dandelion on The Masked Singer
Reigning champion Dandelion kicked off Wednesday’s show with a performance of “Starlight” by Muse. Not only did she sing, but she also played the keyboard. Although the panel was impressed, it wasn’t enough to earn her a spot in the Battle Royale.
Instead, UFO and Lamp went up against each other, with UFO coming out on top. The new competitor first delivered a heartfelt rendition of “Yellow” by Coldplay that left the panel in awe. Their performance of Elton John’s “Rocket Man” in the Battle Royale sealed the deal.
That meant that Dandelion had to be unmasked. Guesses from the panel included Milla Jovovich, Sara Bareilles, and Zooey Deschanel. However, only Ken Jeong was correct in guessing that it was actress Alicia Witt from Dune and The Walking Dead.
The audience actually booed him when he first shared this guess, but he proved them all wrong. It doesn’t happen often, but it’s nice to see him get something right.

Lamp Unmasked as Melissa Joan Hart
Another new competitor during Wednesday’s show was Lamp, who teased that she was a “teen queen darling” before performing “Venus” by Bananarama. It was enough to earn her a spot in the Battle Royale against UFO.
Unfortunately, Lamp’s performance of “Rocket Man” wasn’t enough to earn the panel’s vote, so she had to be unmasked. Three out of the four panelists guessed that Lamp was Sabrina the Teenage Witch star Melissa Joan Hart, while Ken Jeong insisted it was Michelle Williams of Dawson’s Creek.
In this case, Jeong was very wrong, and the other panelists were very right. Lamp turned out to be Melissa Joan Hart. She shared that she was terrified of singing in public, and the show was a way for her to conquer her fear.
