The Jonas Brothers teamed up with Niall Horan of One Direction for a goofy game of golf on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week. Horan was filling in for Kimmel as a guest host on the show.

Horan famously loves golf, so it’s fun to see him share the sport with a few fellow musicians. However, they just had to add a few fun twists to the game to make it more interesting.

Before they started, each of the guys was assigned a handicap. Kevin Jonas had to play to the sound of air horns, while Joe Jonas had to make himself dizzy before swinging. Meanwhile, Horan had to wear a kilt and bagpipes while he played, and Nick Jonas had to cover his club in lube.

The air horns and spinning around did absolutely no favors for Kevin and Joe. But it was Nick’s first try that really made everyone laugh. After covering the handle of his club with lube, it completely slipped out of his hands while trying to make his first shot.

Horan, on the other hand, wasn’t weighed down by his bagpipes. He showed off an impressive first swing, made all the more stylish by his kilt. To his companions’ credit, however, they got used to their handicaps as the day went on, and things started looking up.

The Brothers Are Heading Out on Tour

The Jonas Brothers recently set out on their Remember This tour. They’ve been documenting the lead-up to these new performances on social media, including a method of rehearsal called “Game of Keys,” in which Nick was challenged to sing their songs in the right key without hearing them.

The brothers are joined on the tour by country star Kelsea Ballerini. After their golf outing with Horan, we’d love to see the One Direction star make a surprise appearance at one of the shows. It’s the closest we’ll probably ever get to a 1D-JoBros crossover event.

The Remember This tour kicked off on August 20 in Las Vegas, and will last through October.
