One of our favorite Indian acts to compete on AGT, V. Unbeatable, is returning to the show for Season 2 of Champions starting January 6. We’ll be rooting for the dance crew to make it far in the competition after finishing Season 14 in fourth place.

The group isn’t the first Indian act to appear on AGT over the years. Check out a few more examples below, including another dance group and a couple of nail-biting danger acts.

V. Unbeatable

First, let’s talk about V. Unbeatable. This dance group from the slums of Mumbai, India, blew the judges away on Season 14. Their high-flying acrobatics were breathtaking, and we were shocked when they didn’t make it higher in the competition. They’ll be returning to prove themselves, and we can’t wait to see what amazing routines they have up their sleeves.

Vispi Kasad & Team India

In Season 12, Indian martial artist Vispi Kasad auditioned for AGT by slicing various fruits and vegetables taped to his partner’s body while blindfolded. His sword got dangerously close during the performance, even causing his partner to bleed. Unfortunately, three of the judges buzzed the act, while Simon Cowell praised them. There’s no doubt it takes a lot of skill and bravery to do something like that.

Bir Khalsa

Speaking of danger acts, who could forget this group of Sikh martial artists from Season 14? Founder Kawaljit Singh and group members first performed on India’s Got Talent. On AGT, the group smashed ice, watermelons, and coconuts on or around each other’s bodies. The act made it to the quarterfinals with their suspenseful routines.

Cornell Bhangra

This dance group from Cornell University showcased the beauty of Bhangra, a traditional Indian style of dance. They competed on Season 9 after being voted onto the live shows from Today. Their quarterfinals performance blended traditional dance with hip-hop. The judges praised the performance, but the group did not receive enough votes to move on to the semifinals.

Will V. Unbeatable become the first Indian act to win AGT when they appear on the new Champions season? We’ll find out soon enough. Tune in to NBC next Monday at 8/7c for the season premiere.
