There has been a lot of speculation as to when the reboot of the classic singing competition show, American Idol, would premiere. Well, now we know. The show will begin March 11, 2018 at 8pm on ABC. That’s a Sunday, in case you were wondering.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest made the announcement at his other job on Live With Kelly And Ryan. The show will star Ryan, resuming his hosting duty of the show that launched his career, as well as judge’s Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan. American Idol got off to a rocky start after ABC had a hard time finding two other judges after giving Katy Perry a whopping 25 million and Ryan an additional 15 million. But all seems well know.

We will, of course, be there in March to tell you all about the new show…I mean the new version of the old show…you know what I mean.
