Terry Crews Talks How ‘AGT All-Stars’ Instantly Changes Lives

Terry Crews recently talked about how AGT All-Stars has become a platform that could change people’s lives “immediately.” The host specifically discussed how they’ve come up with a Group Golden Buzzer and why he pressed his Golden Buzzer twice for Detroit Youth Choir.
Terry Crews Talks Why They Gave the Group Golden Buzzer to Tom Ball
Sitting down for an interview with TODAY, Crews opened up about the famous Golden Buzzer in AGT. He particularly mentioned the groundbreaking Group Golden Buzzer that was recently given to British singer Tom Ball.
“We awarded the Group Golden Buzzer to Tom Ball. This man could sing so amazing,” he said. “You know what’s so amazing? Once we started giving out the Golden Buzzer, it was hard to believe there was a time there was no Golden Buzzer.”
Crews went on and stated that America’s Got Talent is that show which could transform lives. According to him, they created the Group Golden Buzzer because they had to find another way to grant more contestants a life-changing opportunity.
“None was more deserving than Tom,” he said. “He was incredible, he was from Britain. And you know, All-Stars is now like the Word’s Got Talent.“
For those who may not know, Ball is a singer who placed third in Britain’s Got Talent series 15. During his preliminary performance in AGT All-Stars, he sang “The Sound of Silence” by Simon & Garfunkel. Simon Cowell quickly branded this as “the best performance I’ve seen all series.”
He Says Detroit Youth Choir Deserves Two Golden Buzzers
Another heartfelt Golden Buzzer moment during the spin-off series was that of the Detroit Youth Choir. Apparently, such wasn’t a new scenario for the vocal group. They already received a Golden Buzzer from Terry Crews back in AGT Season 14.
During the same interview, Crews took the time to explain why he’s given another chance to Detroit Youth Choir.
“I’m from Michigan. I know the circumstances that those kids came from,” he said. “They did not bend to any of those circumstances, they decided to work on themselves, to create something so incredible, that it deserves two Golden Buzzers.”
Crews concluded that they were creating “major superstars” from the show. Indeed, the series has given lucky chances to several artists all around the globe.
