Eliminated Dancing with the Stars Season 31 contestant Teresa Giudice has commented on a notable moment from the show in which she grabbed host Tyra Banks’ microphone after her Elvis Night dance.
Teresa Giudice Talks About Grabbing Tyra Banks’ Microphone
In case you missed it, Giudice and her partner Pasha Pashkov danced the Jive to “All Shook Up” during last week’s Elvis Night. After the dance, Giudice leaned against Banks and grabbed the microphone to share that she had cried while preparing the routine. If you missed it, the dance paid tribute to her late father.
Giudice and Pashkov were eliminated from the competition after being in the bottom for two weeks in a row. In a recent episode of Giudice’s podcast Namaste B$tches, the Real Housewives star talked to co-host Melissa Pfeister about the moment.
“I feel like I ended it with a bang, like, I felt really good with it, so I hugged her. I’m like a lovey, touchy-feely person,” Giudice said when Pfeister mentioned that she was “clinging” to Banks.
When Pfeister brought up her choice to grab Banks’ microphone, Giudice asked, “Wait, was that bad? What did I say when I grabbed the mic?” Pfeister said she talked about crying, and Giudice acknowledged, “Oh, I did. I did.” She added that it was because of “how hard” the dance was to learn.

Giudice Expected Her Elimination
Even though she apparently felt good about her Jive, Giudice has said she expected to be eliminated by the judges. Judge Len Goodman broke a tie, choosing to send Giudice home instead of Cheryl Ladd.
“Yeah, I don’t think Len liked me really so much,” Giudice said of her elimination. “I don’t think he liked me. I knew Len was not going to pick me. I knew he was going to pick Cheryl over me. I knew already … I had a feeling.”
She added that she also knew she wouldn’t win the show once she saw her competition this season, saying, “But I tried!”
