Pete Mroz, The Joy Reunion Team Up For Concert at Ole Red in Tishomingo, Oklahoma
Shelton is known for showing a large amount of support for his artists whether they’re currently on the show, or not. He always goes out of his way to share his artists’ new music, performances, and everything in between. On Tuesday, the country singer retweeted Ole Red’s post sharing The Joy Reunion’s collaboration with Pete Mroz.
Pete auditioned for The Voice in season 20. I think it’s safe to say he had one of the the most memorable auditions considering he was Shelton’s former bandmate. Shelton had absolutely no idea that he already knew the artist, until Pete pointed it out.
He made it until the live playoffs, but was eliminated in the top 17. The Joy Reunion auditioned for The Voice in season 21. The trio joined Team Blake after performing “Boondocks” by Little Big Town. They gave a great performance in the battle rounds but were eliminated soon after.
Since both artists have faced elimination, they’ve teamed up for this concert appearance. The concert will take place on January 15 at 8 p.m. Ticket prices range from $13 to $77. Higher priced (VIP) tickets include two drink tickets, buffet dining, a commemorative show poster, an exclusive intimate performance, and a meet and greet with both artists.
Since being on The Voice, Pete has been supporting his former bandmate and coach on social media. Pete had even asked Shelton if he wanted to collaborate at Ole Red Tishomingo last July. Even though Pete and Shelton have rekindled their friendship, Pete thinks it’s “pretty cool” to have Shelton share his concert dates. Considering the two of them are buddies and Shelton lives in Oklahoma, I wouldn’t be surprised if The Voice coach was in attendance for this show.
