Talent Recap Show Ep. 41: ‘The Voice’ And ‘American Idol’ Finales

In this action-packed episode of The Talent Recap Show we decided to mix it up and talk about the finales of both American Idol and The Voice. Both show’s seasons came to an end this week so why not compare the two shows? Sure, why not indeed.
First of all, Mel and I had to admit that we got our prediction wrong for American Idol. We said we thought it was going to be Gabby Barrett who won instead of Maddie Poppe. We were wrong, mea culpa. But we were right about Brynn Cartelli and Britton being in the bottom two on The Voice and that Brynn would win. It just goes to show you how unpredictable American Idol is as opposed to The Voice.
Which brings up our discussion about the pros and cons of each show. American Idol is great but the judges need to be more critical and needs to be more cohesive in general. But The Voice could lighten up. Like, a lot.
