In this action-packed episode of The Talent Recap Show, Mel and I discuss Prince week on American Idol. They trimmed down the top 7 to the top 5 and we had all the feels for the loss of Catie and Jurnee. But at this point in the show there is no room for errors. It’s kind of terrifying. For the contestants, not for us.
We also talk about the final 5 and some of our favorite performances from this week. One of them was Caleb Lee Hutchinson singing a country version of When Doves Cry and not only did it not suck but it was pretty amazing. Another was Gabby Barrett and her arena country rock voice doing How Come U Don’t Call Me Anymore. I won’t tell you #1 because I want you to…you know…watch the show.
We also discuss what the hell Clay Aiken’s problem is with all the shade he’s throwing at current Idol contestants. Dude, move on with your life.
