Suni Lee says she was the victim of an anti-asian attack after a night out with her friends in Los Angeles, CA. The Dancing With the Stars celebrity reported that she was a victim earlier this month.

The olympic gold medalist is 18 years-old and is currently attending Auburn University on top of dancing on the show. Suni was out with friends, but quickly found herself in the middle of a racist attack.

She reported that a group of people sped past her and her friends as they waited for an Uber. The people in the car allegedly yelled racial slurs, and told them to “go back to where they came from.”

Suni reported that someone in the car fired pepper spray in her direction during the attack. Luckily, it only hit her in the arm.

“I was so mad, but there was nothing I could do or control because they skirted off,” said Suni. “I didn’t do anything to them, and having the reputation, it’s so hard because I didn’t want to do anything that could get me into trouble. I just let it happen.”

Suni Lee Shines on “DWTS” Despite Attack

Not only is Suni on Dancing With the Stars, she brought home gold, silver, and bronze medals at the 2020 Winter Olympics.

Suni showed off as a top competitor during the last episode of Dancing With the Stars. She will return to the stage this upcoming monday to fight for her chance at the mirrorball trophy.
