Summer Rios To Release New Original Song “The Long Way”
In her most recent Instagram post, Rios announced that her original song titled “The Long Way” is on its way for public release. According to the 19-year-old, she’s been “holding this song back for so long.” Now, she’s gushing over the fact that she’ll be releasing her own song.
“I’m coming out with a new song called ‘The Long Way,’ a song that is an original and not a cover,” she said. “And it will be coming out September 28 on all platforms at all times. I’ve been working so hard on it, this past year and a half. It’s been sitting in the library. I’ve been contemplating on releasing it but September 28 is the day. So, don’t miss it.”
In a separate Instagram post, Rios revealed that she’ll be releasing originals in the coming days. Amid the announcement, she also reflected on her elimination on America’s Got Talent season 18.
“Getting eliminated just gave me more courage to release my originals,” she wrote.
“The Long Way” will be released on audio-streaming platforms on September 28. For the meantime, fans can pre-save the song on Spotify and pre-add it on Apple Music.
She Recently Posted a Raw Alicia Keys Cover
Days back, Rios treated fans with a cover of “No One” by Alicia Keys. Wearing a casual white T-shirt, the teenager belted out the song with her raw and suave vocals.
“This is one of my favorite throwbacks to sing! comment some songs y’all want me to cover,” she wrote.
Upon hearing the rendition, Rios’ supporters immediately took to the comments their kind words.
“I swear you make any song sound great!” one person wrote.
“So beautiful i love this song and I LOVE YOUR COVER,” another person commented.
Some also responded to the singer, requesting the song she should do a cover of next.
“I think the song ‘When You Believe’ by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston be a good one for you to try cause it could show your strengths, but also might be hard cause it was originally a duet,” one person wrote.
“Hope you’re proud – rachel grae,” another wrote.
