Social Media Runs Wild After Logan Paul Claims Floyd Mayweather Tried to Kiss Him

Tension is at an all-time high between Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather ahead of their big boxing match on Sunday. They had a long and uncomfortable face-off at a Showtime Sports media event in Miami. After all of the smack-talking they have been doing in the media lately, the pair got a little up close and personal with each other.

The video of their showdown made its rounds on Twitter Thursday. In the video, one spectator could be heard saying that the interaction between the fighters was “uncomfortable.” It lasted for about 30 seconds before they broke apart and posed for the cameras.
“HE TRIED TO KISS ME,” Logan tweeted in response to a video from the event posted on Twitter.
Paul is stirring up some major drama with this tweet before the fight. In the video, it’s clear that he is talking smack right in Mayweather’s face. Several Twitter users echoed the YouTuber’s statement and felt like a kiss was bound to happen at some point. Other’s were left disappointed when the kiss didn’t actually happen.
In an interview with Complex, Mayweather felt rather confident leading up to Sunday’s big event. He has a 50-0 professional record while Paul has a record of 0-1.
“We want to give the people entertainment,” he said. “If I wanted to, I could go out there and if I want to I could knock him out in the first round.”
Paul, who competed on Season 5 of The Masked Singer, was asked if he was ready for the match by USA Today. He noted that his age and his height will give him an advantage over Mayweather during the fight. Paul is 26 years old and has a six-inch height difference over 44-year-old Mayweather. Their height difference was on full display in the viral Twitter video that has now become a huge internet meme.
The pay-per-view boxing match is available for $49.99 on Showtime on June 6 at 8 p.m. ET.
