EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK: A Rapper Impresses ‘The Voice’ Judges

The Voice Rapper S16 Preview

Season 16 of The Voice kicks off on Monday but we have an exclusive sneak peek at the Blind Auditions! We’ve already taken a look at some artists we expect to see on the show this season, but Kim Cherry brings it to another level. Plus, she’s the first rapper ever on the show!

Watch the sneak peek to see her Blind Audition for yourself.

They start off giving Kim the “Jordan Smith” treatment, where they don’t show what she looks like at all. I love this because you really get to experience the Blind Audition as the coaches do!

Kim covered “No Scrubs” by TLC, which is a bold choice. It’s a karaoke favorite after all! At first I wasn’t sure about it, but once she gets into the rap, I was sold. And apparently Kelly and Blake were too! They both turned after her rap. Kelly is clearly into it too, dancing along and looking straight up shocked during her performance. And when when they turn around, what a reveal!

But maybe the best moment is when new coach John Legend turns around and is surprised by the fact that “she’s white!” Kim will definitely be a fun one to watch this season. She’s got the personality and spunk to go with it too.

Season 16 of The Voice premieres Monday night on NBC!
