Britain’s Got Talent contestants Amber and her super smart pup Nymeria redefine the meaning of dog act. This act has once again reminded that there’s nothing better than a cute dogs taking the Got Talent stage. Simon Cowell says that this act proved the intelligence of border collies.

Got Talent fans have seen plenty of border collies take the stage, but Nymeria might be BGT‘s best dog act yet. The two took the stage performing multiple tricks, including dancing, flipping, and tons of high jumping. Throughout their act, the audience roared and the judges grinned.

Since their audition YouTube video began gaining traction, the series released comments made by the judges. Everyone knew Cowell would have something great to say about this act, but his comments surprised many.

“I read in this article the other day where they’re saying that in years collies will evolve so quickly that they can be like a dentist or something,” Cowell said. “And this is, I think, proof of that.”

The camera turns to David Walliams and the series hosts, Ant and Dec, who seem to be confused by Cowell’s statement comparing the dog to a dentist.

“This is proof that a dog can do dentistry?” Walliams said.

Cowell agreed with a grin on his face. From the amount of audience and judge laughter, I’d say that his fun fact may need a fact check. I think the talent show mogul was trying to say that the dogs intelligence was the reason the act was perfection on stage.

What Did This Dog Act Do Before BGT?

Since Amber and Nymeria’s appearance on Britain’s Got Talent it’s been further revealed that their skills are due to years of experience. According to Amber’s website, she’s been training dogs since the age of 10. Outside of Got Talent, she regularly appears with her pups worldwide as part of the circus.

It appears that Britain’s Got Talent isn’t her first time taking a national stage. Ahead of the series they were finalists on their native Got Talent series, Holland’s Got Talent in 2020. A year later they auditioned for Belgium Got Talent.

Right now, Amber’s roster includes three dogs. Ruby the smiling dog, Nymeria the flying dog, and Princess Zelda. The trainer’s Instagram is filled with pictures of all three dogs performing, so hopefully we’ll see Nymeria’s siblings in the next round of Britain’s Got Talent.
