The Voice AU coach Rita Ora has reportedly gotten engaged to film director Taika Waititi. The couple is reportedly planning a lowkey ceremony, with a follow up glitzy celebration later in the summer.
Reports State That Rita Ora Will Marry Taika Waititi This Summer
It seems like Simon Cowell isn’t the only talent show mogul set to wed this summer. Rita Ora is reportedly set to marry her boyfriend of over a year, Taika Waititi. A source close to the couple confirmed their status to The Sun on June 7. The source explained that the build up to the marriage didn’t involve popping the question or a multiple million dollar ring. Instead as they grew closer they mutually decided to wed.
“This isn’t about them doing a big showy thing and crowing about it beforehand. It’s just about them being in love and deciding the time is right to formalise their relationship,” the source said. “They couldn’t be happier.”
Reports state that the couple plans to marry abroad as soon as their upcoming projects are complete. They plan to wed in the company of their closest friends and family, with a larger celebration in London at a later date. According to the source, the couple is eager to walk down the aisle and make it official.
At this time, Ora is working on several film projects, including the newly announced action film, Tin Soldier. Within the film, she will act alongside Jamie Foxx, Scott Eastwood, Robert De Niro, and more. While Ora is acting, Waititi is planning a string of upcoming movies, including an addition to the Star Wars franchise.
Ora and Waititi have reportedly been dating since 2021, they confirmed their relationship at the Suicide Squad premiere last year. This past Valentine’s Day, the couple revealed that they’ve known each other much longer. On Valentines Day, Ora and Waititi shared photos from when they first met four years prior. Ora and Waititi have yet to share their engagement status publicly at this time.
