New Year’s Rockin’ Eve is coming up fast, and Ryan Seacrest will have some new co-hosts this year. Rita Ora and Jeannie Mai will be on hand to help Seacrest ring in 2024 from New York and California, respectively.
Rita Ora, Jeannie Mai to Co-Host New Year’s Rockin’ Eve
Seacrest took over hosting duties on ABC’s New Year’s special from longtime emcee Dick Clark in 2007. Clark, who created the special in 1972, passed away in 2012. This year, Seacrest will be joined by co-hosts Rita Ora and Jeannie Mai.
Ora will be with him for all the festivities in Times Square, while Mai will be covering the New Year’s countdown on the West Coast, from Hollywood. They’re replacing Liza Koshy and Ciara, who appeared on the special in recent years.
The show will also feature returning co-host Dayanara Torres, who will appear from Puerto Rico’s Convention Center to lead a Spanish-language countdown in the Atlantic Time zone (11 p.m. ET). This year, the show is doing away with its countdown from New Orleans, which began in 2017.
