For her Blind Audition, Nini chose to sing “I See Red” by Everybody Loves an Outlaw. She showed off a powerful rock ‘n’ roll voice that captured the coaches’ attention. Gwen Stefani, Niall Horan, and John Legend hit their buttons almost simultaneously.
Reba McEntire wasn’t far behind them, making Nini a four-chair turn. The coaches enjoyed the rest of her performance, giving her a standing ovation when it was over. Nini shared that she’s originally from the country of Georgia but now lives in New York.
Horan was the first coach to share his thoughts on Nini’s performance, calling it the “best vocal of the day, without a shadow of a doubt.” He added, “I think we’re looking at a potential winner here.” Horan begged Nini to join his team.

What Did the Other Coaches Think?
McEntire called Nini’s singing “absolutely spectacular,” adding that she “could probably sing the phone book, and all of us would have turned around.” Legend called her audition “fantastic to witness,” describing it as a “soulful rock performance.”
Nini said she wants to portray “a strong, independent woman” through her music. That made McEntire perk up, telling her it makes for “a great country song.” Meanwhile, Stefani compared Nini’s audition to a Grammys performance.
The singer shared that she grew up listening to Stefani’s music, but she was also a big One Direction fan and even wrote some fanfiction about them. Which coach’s team will Nini choose to join? We’ll have to wait until Monday’s new episode on NBC to find out.
