Peta Murgatroyd Hopes to Return to ‘Dancing with the Stars’ This Year

Dancing with the Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd recently shared that she hopes to return to the ballroom for Season 33, which kicks off in September. The dancer just gave birth to her third child with husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy last month.
Peta Murgatroyd Wants to Return to Dancing with the Stars
On Sunday, Murgatroyd took some time to answer questions from fans on her Instagram stories. One person asked if she’ll be back in the ballroom for the upcoming new season of Dancing with the Stars, premiering September 17 on ABC and Disney+.
“I would totally love to come back again. I know that sounds crazy. If they would have me — we just never know until the last minute,” Murgatroyd said of a possible return. “It’s my home, it’s what I know and love and do best. So why not?”
She pointed out that this would be her third time returning to the show after having a baby, and it would be the shortest amount of time between giving birth and starting work on a new season. However, she said it “would be good for me to get out and do this again.”

While Murgatroyd is teasing her possible return to DWTS, former pro Witney Carson also got fans talking with a recent Instagram story in which she shared that she was dancing again. Could Carson also be back in the ballroom this season?
“Doing some dancing today!” Carson captioned a car selfie last week. “Haven’t really danced since my Gatorade [advertisement] shoot so I’ll be out of shape but I’m excited.”
Fans on Reddit shared their hope that Carson will be back as a professional dancer for Season 33. However, one user wondered if August was too late for her to get back into dancing before a September premiere. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens when the cast is officially announced.
