Former American Idol judge Paula Abdul recently posted photos to Instagram from her time at Kathy Hilton’s recent Christmas party. Fans were quick to comment on how unrecognizable the 60-year-old star looked, accusing her of heavily editing her appearance.
Paula Abdul Accused of Editing Christmas Party Photos
“I hope everyone is having a wonderful day relaxing, celebrating and surrounded by friends and family. Sending you lots of love and holiday cheer,” Abdul wrote to caption her post, which includes photos of her with Paris Hilton, Heidi Klum, Jaclyn Smith, and more.
“Did the account get hacked? Who am I even looking at?” wrote one commenter in response to Paula’s youthful appearance in the pictures. Another wrote, “Paula, you’re beautiful. There’s no need to edit your photos to the point that people don’t recognize you.”
“Wow. I don’t understand this. Everyone knows what you actually look like. The amount of editing here is embarrassingly obvious,” wrote another commenter, while another remarked that she “looks like a completely different person.”
Another fan told Abdul, “Making yourself look 50 instead of 60 is one thing, but making yourself look 12 is a whole different story. You don’t need to do this.”

Simon Cowell Has Also Sparked Comments About His Appearance
Abdul isn’t the only former American Idol judge who recently got people talking about their appearance. Simon Cowell recently appeared in a promotional video for Britain’s Got Talent, inspiring one commenter to remark that “his face looks like it’s melting.”
Although Cowell has admitted to undergoing cosmetic procedures in the past, he said earlier this year that he stopped when his son Eric “was in hysterics” over his changing appearance. He shared, “There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.”
Meanwhile, Abdul has admitted to having “minimally invasive” plastic surgery. However, the singer and dancer hasn’t commented on fans’ recent accusations of changing her appearance through photo editing.
