Olly Murs Is Still Angry About Simon Cowell

We’ve talked before about how we think Simon Cowell is actually a great person with a big heart. But he’s definitely got a ruthless, vindictive side. Olly Murs learned that the hard way when he jumped ship from The X Factor UK to The Voice UK. Simon did not take that well and saw it as disloyalty. According to Olly, he doesn’t need Simon’s permission to live his life.
Bold words, but ultimately true. Even though Simon was a bit of a mentor to Olly that doesn’t mean that given a golden opportunity to go to The Voice that he shouldn’t have taken it. Olly said,
“No it wasn’t a tough decision at all. I didn’t think at any point I have to speak to someone and see if it’s alright! I make decisions myself all the time with my heart and when I was offered this chance I thought what a wonderful opportunity to give someone the mentoring and help that Simon gave me and others have given.”
It seems Olly is all grown up and making his own decisions. He recently ran into Simon at a gala and Simon was very friendly but Olly could tell he was still mad. We love you, Simon but Olly has got to live his own life.
