Nick Lachey Responds on Twitter After Altercation with Paparazzi

Alter Ego judge and former The Masked Singer contestant Nick Lachey was caught on camera getting into an altercation with a paparazzi photographer on Sunday night. Lachey has since addressed the incident on Twitter.
Nick Lachey Gets Into Paparazzi Altercation
On Sunday night, Lachey was out for dinner in Beverly Hills with his wife Vanessa when he reportedly got into an argument with a paparazzi photographer who was taking pictures of the couple from her car.
TMZ has two videos of the incident from different angles. In the photographer’s clip, Lachey can be seen approaching the car and reaching through the window to grab the phone. The photographer comments that Lachey seems “drunk,” adding that she can smell alcohol on him.
The outlet also reports that Lachey allegedly punched the photographer’s car window and cursed at her, while Vanessa yelled at her to open the car door. This doesn’t appear to have been caught on video.
Another angle shows Lachey walking up to the car and reaching inside. In a later clip, another photographer shouts at the star about the altercation. Lachey responds by sticking up both middle fingers and then makes an X with his arms.

The Singer Responded to the Incident on Twitter
On Monday morning, Lachey took to Twitter to address Sunday night’s incident. He wrote that he had been out to dinner with Vanessa and their friend when “the paparazzi harassed us as we walked back to our hotel.”
“I clearly overreacted,” the 98 Degrees singer wrote. “I’ve been in this game long enough to know that their antics are sadly part of the deal. Stupid of me. Done.”
He followed this up with another tweet criticizing TMZ, writing, “However, for TMZ or anyone else to say that I was violent or that I ‘got physical’ with someone is reckless and absolutely false.”
