Fans of The Masked Singer who are wondering when host Nick Cannon will return to the show now have their answer. Nick might also have some personal news to share soon, as there are rumors he’ll soon be the father to twins.
Nick tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this year, and Niecy Nash stepped in as Masked Singer host for the first part of the new season. Read on to find out when he’ll be back, and what people are saying about possible additions to his family.
When Will Nick Cannon Return To ‘The Masked Singer’?
Season 5 of The Masked Singer will premiere on FOX March 10. Because host Nick Cannon tested positive for COVID around the time filming was set to begin, Niecy Nash filled in for the first several episodes.
Now, according to Entertainment Tonight, Nick is expected to be back “towards the second half” of the season. Executive producer James Breen apparently didn’t share whether Nick’s return will be as host or in another role on the show.

“We got incredibly lucky there because Niecy just stepped in pretty last minute,” Breen said. “And immediately had her own chemistry with the panel. She was just a producers’ dream. Absolutely fantastic.”
“I have never felt so welcomed. It’s not like we started together. I just walked in the door and every single person supported me and was so kind,” Niecy said of her time on the show.
Is Nick Expecting Twins With Abby De La Rosa?
Nick Cannon is rumored to be expecting twins with Abby De La Rosa. Abby has documented her pregnancy on social media, and recently had a gender reveal celebration to announce that she’s expecting two boys.
In one of the shots from the celebration, a man’s hand can be seen on her belly. In another post from Abby’s Instagram, a man’s hands can be seen playing the piano. Abby didn’t name the man, but called him “My Love/The father of our rockstar twins.”

In case you missed it, Nick recently welcomed his second baby with Brittany Bell. He’s also the father of twins Monroe and Moroccan with his ex-wife Mariah Carey. According to Distractify, Nick is reportedly dating three women at once — Brittany, Abby, and another woman named Lanisha Cole.
Nick reportedly sent similar Valentine’s Day gifts to all three women last month. In 2019, Nick said monogamy wasn’t for him, explaining, “I think I’ll never be able to be with just one woman again.”
