The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon is not shy to show off his sense of humor when it comes to his paternal responsibilities. The television personality recently filmed a skit featuring Selling Sunset star Bre Tiesi, pretending to refuse to pay child support.

Nick Cannon Comically Refuses to Pay Child Support in Instagram Skit

In a video posted on Instagram on September 12, Cannon and Tiesi joked about his challenging duty to financially back his 12 children up. The two share a 14-month-old son, Legendary Love.

“Nick, it’s time to pay child support,” Tiesi said, to which Cannon responded, “Como se what?” while looking paniced.

“You have to pay child support,” she repeated.

“No, I don’t,” he said.

The skit showed a confused Cannon making up reasons to avoid the responsibility such as being Amish and getting a COVID-19 vaccine. He also justified non-payment by stating he has more than 10 kids.

Tiesi then countered Cannon, saying that the excuse is only allowed in foreign countries like China. In the end, Cannon acted he’s transported himself abroad, revealing the news to Tiesi via FaceTime.

Aside from the comedy skit, it’s no secret that Cannon’s duty as a father of 12 kids is extremely taxing. In December 2022, he admitted that his “biggest guilt” is that he doesn’t get to spend enough time for his children. According to the television host, he’s already “spread thin” trying to juggle his work and daddy duties.

Fans are Divided After Seeing the Skit

Cannon and Tiesi’s skit has immediate drawn attention, receiving lots of laughs in the comments. One user even praised the couple for taking Cannon’s challenging situation lightly.

However, while the skit seems comedic to many, some users believe that child support is not something that Cannon and Tiesi should joke about. A person expressed their puzzlement regarding the post, saying the skit is not a good idea.

“In what world did either of them think this was a good idea,” the user wrote.

“I mean, I see they’re trying to make light of it but deep down, it is kinda sad lol,” another person wrote.

While there have been many opinions like that, it’s clear that Cannon and Tiesi do not think the same. Previously, The Masked Singer host joked about the same topic on TikTok.

In the content, he jokingly receives a phone call from “Baby Mama No. 25.” As the voice of the phone demands for child support, he hits the “Sorry I Can’t Talk Right Now” response.
