Niall Horan Teases Fans with a Snippet of New Music on TikTok

Niall Horan on The Late Late Show with James Corden

Season 23 The Voice coach Niall Horan took to TikTok this week to tease fans with a snippet of new music. And when we say “tease,” we really mean it. The excerpt was so short, it left fans desperate to hear more.

Niall Horan Teases New Music on TikTok

Horan, who rose to fame as part of the group One Direction, hasn’t put out new music since last year, when he released the single “Our Song” and a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Everywhere” with Anne-Marie.

However, he’s teased plans to release a third album following up 2017’s Flicker and 2020’s Heartbreak Weather. This week, one fan got impatient and asked Horan to “please drop new music for my sanity.”

So the singer took to TikTok to share a snippet of something new with the fan. It involved him strumming a guitar and singing “la da da da.” It sounded great, but Horan refused to give fans any more than that.

“That’s all you’re getting,” Horan said to end the clip.

Horan Left Fans Wanting to Hear More

Horan’s song teaser left fans wanting to hear more. As one user commented, “UM I NEED THIS NOW.” Another wrote, “sir that’s not enough.” Someone else said they “won’t believe it until you sing some lyrics.”

In another TikTok video, Horan responded to fans’ frustration. He laughed and leaned toward the camera, asking, “What do you want? A single? You’re not getting it yet.”

Horan may not be ready to release new music just yet, but fans will soon be able to see him on their TV screens every week, as he joins The Voice as a new coach for Season 23.

The singer will sit on the panel alongside veteran coach Blake Shelton, returning coach Kelly Clarkson, and fellow newbie Chance the Rapper. The new season premieres on Monday, March 6, at 8/7c on NBC.
