American Idol recently wrapped up filming the last round of auditions for Season 21 in Nashville, Tennessee. New details have been leaked by some auditioning contestants about what to expect from the new season.

New ‘American Idol’ Season 21 Details Leak

Heavy reported this week that several contestants had shared details of their auditions on social media. That includes Season 20 singer Haley Slaton Myles, who performed on the show when she was eight months pregnant.

After her time on the show, she married fellow contestant Jordan Myles and gave birth to baby Jaelyn. Haley appears to be giving American Idol another shot. She reportedly told her Facebook friends that she was on her way to Nashville to audition for the judges on Sunday, November 13.

Several other auditioners have posted about their experience, including Branson Anderson, who told his local paper he spent five days in Las Vegas to audition, pose for photos, and conduct interviews. He shared that he was up at 5 a.m. and had to wear the same clothes every day. Branson apparently didn’t make it through to Hollywood.

Country singer Sam L. Smith also shared some behind-the-scenes tidbits from his Nashville audition on Instagram. One photo shows him being interviewed on a rooftop, and Sam also included a video of other contestants sitting around the same roof.

Season 21 Will Premiere in February 2023

American Idol will return to ABC for Season 21 on Sunday, February 19, 2023. This is the show’s sixth season on ABC, and all three judges (Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan) will be returning to the panel, along with host Ryan Seacrest.

The show usually kicks off with the audition round, as the coaches visit various cities around the United States to hear contestants perform. Some of those hopefuls will receive a Golden Ticket to Hollywood Week, which is expected to film in December.

Last season, Noah Thompson was named the Season 20 winner, with HunterGirl taking the second-place spot. Who will win this season’s competition? We’ll have to wait and see.
