New Details Emerge About Ariana Grande’s Split from Husband Dalton Gomez

On Monday, it was reported that former The Voice coach Ariana Grande had separated from her husband of two years, Dalton Gomez. New details have since emerged about what allegedly led to the couple’s split.
Why Ariana Grande, Dalton Gomez Chose to Separate
According to TMZ, Grande and Gomez (who started dating in early 2020) apparently started to notice their differences as Covid-19 restrictions began to lift. Sources said Gomez was apparently caught off guard by Grande’s fame and busy schedule.
Things apparently got worse in December when Grande traveled to the UK to start filming the Wicked movies. The couple was reportedly separated by January, but they remained friendly. Then in May, they tried to make it work again. This apparently lasted just two weeks.
TMZ reports that Gomez has been dating for the past few months, which Grande is fine with. According to sources, the couple was “shocked” that no one had caught on to their separation before this week, when the news broke.

Grande Has ‘Nothing But Kind Words’ About Gomez
A source told People that Gomez’s need to stay in Los Angeles for his career in real estate was an issue in his relationship with Grande, explaining, “Dalton’s career is demanding and he can’t leave Los Angeles often. So when [Grande] started filming Wicked in England, they were in for a long-distance marriage.”
However, the source also said that “Ari has nothing but kind words to say about Dalton. During their marriage, he was her No. 1 fan.” They said the couple’s relationship simply “didn’t work.”
Grande has apparently stopped wearing her wedding ring, as she was spotted at Wimbledon over the weekend with a bare finger. In the past, Grande has shut down speculation about not wearing her ring, saying in a makeup tutorial last year that it was being cleaned.
