Morgan Wallen Cancels Concert After Losing His Voice
According to Billboard, Wallen had already performed a concert at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium the previous night. While fans were waiting for Sunday’s concert to begin at the same venue, a message appeared on the video screens informing fans that the show was canceled.
“Ladies & gentlemen, unfortunately Morgan has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight,” read the message. “Therefore tonight’s show has been cancelled. Please make your way safely to the stadium exits. Refunds for tonight’s event will be available at point of purchase.”
Wallen later took to Instagram stories to explain the situation, writing that he began losing his voice after the previous show and “spent the day resting up, talking to my doctor and working through my vocal exercises trying to get better.” He added that he “really thought I’d be able to take the stage.”
The singer went on to say that it “kills me to deliver this so close to showtime, but my voice is shot and I am unable to sing.” He apologized, telling fans that he “tried everything I could.”

The Last-Minute Cancellation Angered Some Fans
Not all of Wallen’s fans were understanding of his decision to cancel the show at the last minute. One Twitter user posted a photo of the announcement message, writing, “Completely disappointed in @MorganWallen!! Been sitting in this stadium for 3 hrs and he just announced the show is canceled!!! Complete bullshit!!!”
Another Twitter user posted a video in which she calls Wallen a “piece of sh*t,” adding that the opening acts performed before the cancellation announcement was made. She complained that they “sat there and froze our damn asses off” and “spent hundreds of dollars on drinks and merchandise and everything else.”
Wallen also made headlines last week for his performance in Louisville, Kentucky, when he fell over while walking across a fog-covered stage. The singer is currently on his One Night at a Time World Tour.
