Miley Cyrus is Officially Back to Her Signature Brunette Hair

Miley Cyrus has officially welcomed in fall with a new, but familiar look. The Hannah Montana star, who rose to fame with her naturally brunette locks, has officially returned to her natural color.
Miley Cyrus Debuts Brunette Hair for Fall
Earlier this week, Cyrus casually launched her new hair through a series of photos on Instagram last Sunday. She published her hair color reveal with her congratulatory message for designer Sabato De Sarno on his collection for Gucci.
“Congratulations on your beautiful debut show as creative director @Gucci,” she said. “Your stunning heart was shown in every stitch. I love you & am so proud. Now give me everything.”
The post showed the “Flowers” singer posing in a black coat and a silver necklace while she’s holding a red Horsebit Chain Bag from the brand. For those who may not know, Cyrus is an ambassador for Gucci.
The singer didn’t exactly talk about the drastic shift in hairstyle, but fans nonetheless quickly ran to the comments to share their thoughts.
“OMG YOU ARE TOTALLY BROWN AGAIN. FINALLY. I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT FOR LIKE 10 YEARS,” one fan wrote.
“After 12 years, we have brunette Miley back,” another fan commented.
Some of her supporters also noticed how Cyrus is slowly looking more like her mom Tish Cyrus. Meanwhile, one fan jokingly welcomed Cyrus to the “dark side” with an all-brunette style.
She Spent Plenty of Time as a Blonde, Because of Dolly Parton
The pop star first went blonde in 2012. Since then, the “Used To Be Young” singer has sported different hairstyles, from platinum pixie to dirty-blonde mullet. Ahead of her new hairdo, Cyrus was rocking a peekaboo hairstyle. This hairstyle featured blonde on the top layer of her hair, with peek-a-boo brunette underneath.
While the singer has tried several hairstyles, going back to brunette had been long overdue. The singer had already planned to ditch her blonde hair last year, but her godmother Dolly Parton was apparently against the idea.
“I’ve never seen Dolly actually scared before,” she told Today. “She clutched her pearls, gasped, and went back, and she goes, ‘You can’t do that. You are me.’ So I’m somehow some extension of Dolly Parton where she looked like I had just given her the worst news you’ve ever heard.”
With this recent hair change, fans began speculating about Cyrus’s next career move. Some fans believe the singer is brewing music for her new era. Be that as it may, Cyrus hasn’t explained yet why she suddenly changed her hair color.
