Despite being known for her TMI lifestyle, Meghan Trainor made one thing crystal clear, she doesn’t care what people think about her. It’s no secret that becoming a mother changes a woman, but Trainor strives to make it known that her lifestyle isn’t as easy as it looks.

Meghan Trainor Handles Raising Riley with Her Husband, Daryl Sabara

Trainor and Sabara welcomed their first child together in 2021 and their world has not been the same since. The pop star is always giving updates on Riley’s cute moments, giving off proud mama vibes each time. Although she makes it look quite easy, the singer has opened up about how she’s had lots of help with raising Riley.

In fact, Trainor and Sabara greatly depended on her brothers, Ryan and Justice, who lives in their house. The pop star’s mother also resides minutes away from their home and tends as her assistant. Her aunt cooks meals for them while her uncle takes charge of the garden.

Apart from the assistance she receives in the household, she also resorts to a clique of moms when needed. The circle includes Hilary Duff and Ashley Tisdale. Trainor is extremely grateful for these moms and vice versa.

“I got lucky. All the moms in our group are so cool,” she said.

Meghan Trainor is Still Not Ashamed of Their Twin Toilets

When it comes to Trainor’s relationship with her husband, it’s clear that they’re still madly in love and using the restroom together. As many know, it was revealed last year that Trainor and Sabara installed double toilets in their main bathroom, to help with their new parent struggles. Back when their son was just months old, the married couple would get up to change him. Since both of them needed to go at the same time, their solution was to replace their bidet with another toilet – the ultimate his and her accessory.

Since this type of TMI information is rarely shared, the his and her toilets went insanely viral online. Even though many thought this was a great idea, others respectfully opposed. Nonetheless, Trainor was never ashamed of this unique feature in their house.

“It’s still awesome. I love it, and I’m proud of it,” she told Romper.

The pop star confirms that even in 2022 it’s her favorite part of their home. Although this bathroom fixture may be weird for some, it has made Trainor’s mama life more convenient.

She Talks About Everything Motherhood in Her Newest Album, Takin’ It Back

Alongside the typically struggles of being a first time mom, Trainor recently admitted that she felt very anxious during Riley’s first days. The anxiety came from the fact that her son didn’t cry much.

“We kept being like, ‘Uh oh, what’s up with him? Is this what serial killers are like when they’re first born? They never cry?'” she said.

Moreover, taking care of Riley has its rough moments. According to her, Riley used to babble “mama” all the time. However, when she started working again, he shifted to saying “dada.” Trainor blamed herself and broke down after finding that out.

“I literally had a meltdown over it,” she said. “Men don’t have that same feeling, and they’re shocked that we do.”

Although singing remains as Trainor’s first love, she thinks that motherhood has made her voice much better. She believes that her transition from pop star to motherhood unveiled something entirely new in her.

“I get to be a pop star during the day and then give my kid a bath at night? It’s like, pinch me,” she said.

Her music absolutely reflects this new stage of her life. Her fourth studio album, Takin’ It Back, explores motherhood and her married life. Since her newest album is inspired by her new chapter in life, one of the songs on the album, “Superwoman” is about how harsh mothers can be to themselves.

“Women are just stronger and smarter. We make life, you know what I mean?” she said.

Trainor’s newest album, Takin’ It Back will be released on October 21, 2022, via RCA Records. Meanwhile the album’s latest single “Bad For Me” featuring Teddy Swims is now available for stream and download.
