Multiple dance acts have graced Got Talent in the past yet only a few managed to impress the crowd in ways Light Balance Kids can. Here’s everything to know about them.
A Former AGT Standout Created Light Balance Kids
For those who may not know, Light Balance Kids first appeared in Ukraine’s Got Talent in 2017. This acrobatic and neon dance group was actually formed by a member of America’s Got Talent alum, Light Balance.
“My life was completely changed by America’s Got Talent,” the founder said. “I wanted to give other children the chance to make their dreams come true.”
Apparently, the kids have seen Light Balance perform during AGT and AGT: The Champions. Amazed by their larger-than-life skills, these children eventually envisioned themselves wearing LED suits while dancing on stage.
“For me it was magic and I was like ‘I wanna do that!” one member said.
In 2019, Light Balance Kids took the risk to travel from Kiev, Ukraine to Los Angeles, California to show off their talent in an even bigger crowd. There, they competed in season 14 of America’s Got Talent and secured four yeses during their audition.
They Want To Follow Their Founder’s Footsteps
When they stepped in the AGT stage for the first time, their team consisted of children aged 11 to 13, making them one of the youngest contestants to join that season. In the beginning, Light Balance Kids admittedly felt the pressure to be as show-stopping as their mentors.
“We have a big dream of following in Light Balance’s footsteps,” one member said during a pre-recorded interview.
Despite inhibitions, Light Balance Kids proved to be fascinating and charming with or without LED suits on. During the Judge Cuts, they automatically sealed a spot in the next round after guest judge Ellie Kemper pressed her Golden Buzzer. They continued to captivate America in the Quarterfinals, performing a dance routine to Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” and the Jonas Brothers’ “Sucker.”
Light Balance Kids is Set To Compete in AGT All-Stars in 2023
Their stint in AGT season 14 was indeed long, going all the way to the Finals and finishing in the Top 10. Now, they intend to prove their talent once more through AGT All-Stars. Light Balance Kids is among the 60 acts that will vie to become the season winner.
AGT All-Stars will premiere on January 2, 2023 at 8/7c on NBC. Until then, we can anticipate that their programming and coding skills have been honed more than ever. Music mogul Simon Cowell will judge the show alongside Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum. America’s Got Talent resident host Terry Crews will host the upcoming series.
