The Masked Singer is making season 8 bigger and better than ever, and it hasn’t even premiered yet! In addition to an all-new format with double eliminations every week and 22 contestants, we also have TWO trios. This is a first in The Masked Singer history! So even before we see any celebrities revealed, we know this is a record-breaking season.

One of the two trios featured is the Mummies. These gangly, tall ancient artifacts seem to be having a blast on stage in the previews! But who could be under the masks? Let’s take a look at the clues we have so far and make our predictions!

Clues on The Masked Singer Season 8

The clues ahead of the premiere haven’t been known to be super helpful and this season, they’re specifically catered to each costume. For the Mummies, there’s no exception! Their first clue, released on Instagram, was a Ka statue. A Ka statue is intended to provide a resting place for the “ka” (spirit) of a person after death.

On TV Theme Night, we learned a lot about the Mummies. When they walked out, we got the clue “Lucky #5.” Their clues started on an old school TV, with a frame that said “Mummies’ Island.” One of them mentioned they’re coming at you “live and in living color,” an obvious nod to the show. Another said, “sit right back and we’ll tell a tale,” a nod to Fresh Prince of Bel Air. “You watched us grow up and you may even feel like we’re part of your family,” one of the Mummies claims. A blueprint of a house with “ICONIC” written on it is held up. Two of the Mummies give each other high fives.

“They say sibling bonds are the strongest,” one of the Mummies mentions. Then, we see a photo of the Fox from season two, who was revealed to be Wayne Brady. They say they’ve learned a lot from each other and probably taught us some life lessons as well. The Mummies have been “off the grid for a while,” but it’s what they’re most famous for. One holds up a “Tiger Pop” magazine with them on the cover. Lastly, we see an old TV with two tickets that say “CINEMA ADMIT ONE” on them, and the Mummies mention this is a reunion for them.
Their last clue was from Tori Spelling, the Unicorn from season one. It was a box of “Blended Berry Bros Smoothie Packets.”

Popular Guesses for The Masked Singer Mummies

Nicole complimented the Mummies on their harmonies and thought they might be the guys from 90210, Brian Austin Green, Jason Priestley, and Ian Ziering, even though Brian was already the Giraffe in season four. She then guessed they could be the Brady Bunch brothers instead. Ken backed that prediction up with their names, but also said they could be the Lawrence brothers or the Hemsworth brothers.

Knowing this is a trio narrows down the guesses significantly. Fans online guessing the Mummies could be Boyz II Men, Bell Biv DiVoe, Rascal Flatts, the Jonas Brothers, or the trio of Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Chevy Chase, who were guessed as a possible option for the Hydra last season. But now, the most popular prediction is the Lawrence brothers.
