Luke Bryan Gave Katy Perry “Country Education” After She Eavesdropped on His Facetime Call

Katy Perry was surprised and puzzled when Luke Bryan and his 14-year-old son FaceTimed each other on the set of American Idol. The hilarious moment was recently shared by the country singer, when he recounted the unforgettable moment.
Luke Bryan Talks About Katy Perry Eavesdropping on his FaceTime Call
The country singer recently made a guest appearance on Audacy’s Rob + Holly, where he was giving hunting tips. Bryan then remembered a humorous story about his 14-year-old son, Thomas.
The story Bryan told took place on the set of American Idol, during one of the judges’ break times on the show. The country singer chuckled as he recalled Perry’s expression when she overheard Luke’s youngster ask if there was any “doe pee,” lying around the home.
“So Katy’s listening to me talk to my 14-year-old, and he goes, ‘Dad, do we have any doe pee around here?’ which is doe urine.” Bryan said. “But, watching Katy Perry try to figure out what the hell me and my son were talking about. She was like, ‘Did your son just ask you do you have any dope around the house?’ I said, “Katy, he’s asking for doe pee.”
Bryan then laughed, as he proceeded to explain what “doe pee” was to Perry and Lionel Richie. Bryan felt sorry for their newfound country education, but Perry and Richie educate him on all things LA and Beverly Hills, so it evens out.
The Country Star Has a “Fun Friendship,” With Katy Perry
On Good Morning America earlier this year, Bryan talked about his connection with Perry, stating that the two enjoy a “fun friendship.” The country icon also revealed that he’s close with Perry’s fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom.
“You know, she’s really a little jealous because she believes that Orlando might have a little man crush on me.” Bryan said. “Orlando came into Nashville and I had all these outdoor activities planned for him, so me and Orlando, our love is strong.”
Bryan jokingly told that he had a budding bromance with Perry’s fiancee and that she’s feeling jealous of their closeness. Prompting Perry to not give advice on Bryan’s residency in Sin City which he’s currently doing now.
