Lionel Richie Won’t Get Plastic Surgery, Says Sex Is His Secret to Staying Young

American Idol judge Lionel Richie recently shared his thoughts about plastic surgery (hint: he doesn’t want it) and shared his secrets to looking younger at 73. One of those secrets is to keep an active sex life.
Lionel Richie Says Sex Is His Anti-Aging Secret
“[Plastic surgery] locks you in for that year [while you recover] – and after that you can’t go naturally, you’re staying right there… You try and go back to reset, and you can’t,” Richie told The Daily Mail. “[And] that s*** goes wrong!”
Richie had another interesting reason not to go under the knife, saying, “God might not recognize me, so I want to make sure he knows me.” Even without cosmetic procedures, the music legend looks great in his 70s.
“Water, sleep, and sweat, not too much red meat,” Richie said of his secrets to looking younger. “I know it’s real boring. [Sex] will work also and it’s good for your heart.”
Richie has been in a relationship with model Lisa Parigi for almost a decade now. Parigi is around 40 years younger than Richie. Notably, she’s even several years younger than Richie’s oldest daughter, Nicole Richie.

Richie Was Criticized for His Coronation Performance
Recently, Richie was a performer at King Charles’ coronation concert at Windsor Castle. He sang his hits “Easy” and “All Night Long.” Unfortunately, not everyone was a fan of Richie’s performance at the event.
According to The Daily Mail, some viewers took to social media to share their disappointment with Richie’s performance. One person apparently compared it to “karaoke in the pub,” while another compared his voice to Kermit the Frog.
However, others defended the singer, pointing out that he obviously isn’t going to sound the same as he did four decades ago. They also commended him for performing live, rather than lip syncing his songs.
Lionel’s fellow American Idol judge Katy Perry also took the stage at the coronation concert, singing her hits “Roar” and “Firework.”
