Len Goodman Says Cody Rigsby is the “One to Watch” This Season on “Dancing with the Stars”

Peloton’s very own Cody Rigsby can motivate others, but can he dance? During the season 30 premiere of Dancing with the Stars, he proved that he’s got the moves both on and off the exercise machine. Partnered up with veteran dance pro Cheryl Burke, the two brought some finesse to the ballroom.
“Im nervous I’m gonna mess it up,” he admitted to the cameras. In rehearsal, Rigsby says he was a former dancer but has never taken on ballroom.

After rehearsing, it was finally time for the duo to take to the floor. The couple danced the Tango to Dua Lipa’s “Let’s Get Physical.” Rigsby sported a bright pink suit alongside his partner. Burke matched his vibe and wore a pink dress that stood out just as much.
In a personal touch, the stage was decorated with Peloton machines to set the tone. Throughout the duration of the routine, two people riding the machines could be seen in the background.
While I thought their performance was pretty good, the dance overall was a bit slow for the music. I’m not sure if a Tango was the best choice for the song choice. Overall, Rigsby received some pretty positive and encouraging feedback.
“You are fabulous you have great energy,” said Judge Carrie Ann Inaba.
She also sensed his nerves during the routine, and pointed this out to him on the panel. Rigsby also confirmed that his nerves did in fact peak through at times during the performance, and would be more aware of this going forward.
Normally harsh Judge, Len Goodman was surprisingly supportive of the up and coming fitness celebrity, calling him “one to watch.”
Derek Hough added onto the compliments saying he would be a lot of fun in the competition.
Before walking off stage, host Tyra Banks herself said she’s taken many of his classes. Rigsby expressed his gratitude for the opportunity before receiving an overall score of 24.
