Lauren Alaina Shares Song She Wrote for Father-Daughter Dance at Her Wedding

American Idol Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina took to Instagram this week to share the song she wrote for the father-daughter dance at her wedding, paying tribute to the friendship between her new husband Cam Arnold and her dad.
Lauren Alaina Shares Original Song from Her Wedding
“I wrote this song for my daddy for our daddy/daughter dance,” Alaina wrote on Instagram Wednesday when sharing the audio for the track. “It was such a special moment during our wedding. I will truly never forget it.”
The song is about how Arnold and her dad, J.J. Suddeth, ended up hitting if off after she was worried about how they’d get along. As she sings on the chorus, “I knew I found the one when they became best friends / My good ole boy and my old man.”
Alaina shared a video featuring several emotional clips from her wedding, including the moment her father saw her in her dress for the first time. Both of them can be seen tearing up as they hug each other. There’s also a clip of her dad walking her down the aisle toward Arnold.

Alaina Walked Down the Aisle to an Original Song
Alaina and Arnold tied the knot earlier this month in a Nashville ceremony attended by hundreds of guests. The singer walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of a song she wrote for Arnold called “Breaking Up with Single.”
The couple’s first dance as husband and wife was set to “Feet Off the Ground” by Brent Cobb. They wrote personalized vows for the wedding ceremony, which was officiated by Arnold’s friend Henry Valentine Geny. They also included their dogs in the nuptials.
Alaina hasn’t officially released her wedding songs for fans, but you can listen to her latest EP, Unlocked, right now. It includes a duet with Lainey Wilson called “Thicc as Thieves.”
