After two years of music hiatus, Lady Gaga is finally brewing something in a recording studio. The A Star is Born actress recently sent her fans into a frenzy after hinting about a possible music comeback in 2024.
Lady Gaga Teases New Music with Candid Studio Photos
On Tuesday, Gaga teased her fans with a photo of herself posing inside a music studio on Instagram. Within the photo, the singer showed off her legs while wearing a sweater in stripes of blue, peach, and pink. She matched this cozy outfit with a pair of black lace-up boots and black sunglasses.
In the photo, the “Bloody Mary” singer stood in a music studio dimmed with purple lights. She’s also surrounded by a cream-colored guitar and microphones. The pop star then kept it short in the caption, writing a black heart and music notes emoji.
Catching the subtle hint of her comeback, several fans went to the comment section to express their excitement.

Further cementing fans’ assumption, Gaga posted a selfie on the studio, jokingly stating she’s at the church. As seen in the photo, the pop singer is wearing a Joker T-shirt layered with a gray cardigan.

The social media hints came after the pop star finished filming Joker: Folie à Deux, the upcoming musical thriller film set to be a sequel to the 2019 movie Joker. Gaga will play Harley Quinn, opposite Joaquin Phoenix under Todd Phillips’ direction.
For almost two years, Gaga has not recorded any music material. The last time she released a song was in early 2022, when she recorded “Hold My Hand” for the film Top Gun: Maverick. Hence, if she’s set to release an album or a single this year, this will definitely be a highly-anticipated one for her Little Monsters.
Margot Robbie Says the Pop Star is “Going to Crush” the Harley Quinn Role
Before Gaga secured Harley Quinn’s role, Margot Robbie served as Joker’s love interest. She previously portrayed Quinn in Suicide Squad (2016), Birds of Prey (2020), and The Suicide Squad (2021).
During the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, Robbie reacted to Gaga playing the iconic role.
“Oh my God, she’s going to crush it. Are you kidding? She’s going to be amazing, I can’t wait to see it,” she said.
Apparently though, the Robbie hasn’t spoken to Gaga about the role. The Barbie star then admitted that it’s also favorable for her not to have a clue about the film so she can savor a full experience in cinema.
“I actually haven’t spoken to her about it,” she said. “I almost don’t want to know so I can save it for the surprise when I get to see the movie.”
Gaga was enlisted in the cast in mid-2022, months after leading 2021’s House of Gucci.
