Jonas Brothers fans who are hoping to see Kevin Jonas on an upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars will be disappointed to find out that he’s not interested in competing. In a new interview, the oldest Jonas Brother shared that he has been invited to appear on the show a number of times in the past.
Kevin Jonas Won’t Do Dancing with the Stars
In a new video from InStyle, the Jonas Brothers can be seen answering fan mail. One fan message reads, “I need DWTS to get Kevin Jonas next season. I wanna see him shake his hips!” Nick Jonas chimed in to say that the show has asked Kevin to participate “pretty much every season for the last, like, 20 years.”
Kevin Jonas confirmed that he’s been invited to compete in the ballroom “for a long time,” adding, “I have said no. It’s just not for me. But thank you so much … We watch the show. It’s very fun. I feel like it’s really back. Dancing with the Stars is, like, fully back.”
The brothers went on to discuss the current season of the show, mentioning Robert Irwin’s talent. Kevin also gave a shoutout to Dylan Efron, saying he’s “doing it.” Both Irwin and Efron were just announced as finalists during the most recent episode.
The Jonas Brothers have been promoting their new Christmas movie, titled — you guessed it — A Very Jonas Christmas Movie. The flick was recently released on streaming, and is available to watch on both Hulu and Disney+.
The movie is a fictional account of the brothers’ journey from London to New York as they attempt to make it home in time for the holidays. Nick and Kevin’s wives Priyanka Chopra and Danielle Jonas make appearances, as well as stars such as Will Ferrell, Laverne Cox, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
