The Masked Singer panelist Ken Jeong revealed during a recent interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show that the first concert he ever attended was Prince’s Purple Rain Tour. Jeong reflected on the amazing experience.
Ken Jeong Remembers Seeing Prince on Tour
Jeong appeared on the show alongside It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Charlie Day, who shared that his first concert was a Natalie Merchant show. Then Jeong shared that his first concert was Prince’s Purple Rain Tour in 1984.
The funny actor joked about his age, saying he has an “in utero recollection” of the concert. In reality, Jeong would have been about 15 years old when he saw the show. Clarkson was amazed by Jeong’s revelation, saying, “It all went downhill from there.”
“It was incredible,” Jeong recalled, saying the concert is “still in my mind grapes right now.” When Clarkson called him out for bragging, Jeong leaned into it, joking that Prince looked at him and said, “You’re gonna be a star!”

Will Jeong Return for The Masked Singer Season 10?
The Masked Singer was recently renewed for Season 10 of FOX. It hasn’t yet been confirmed if the same panel is returning for the new season, which is expected to air later this year. The show has had the same panelists since Season 1, so hopefully Jeong will return.
Meanwhile, Jeong is also the host of the game show I Can See Your Voice, which was also renewed for another season on FOX. The show will be back for a third season, although a release date has yet to be announced.
If Jeong does return for The Masked Singer Season 10, maybe he can perform a Prince tribute during one of the show’s themed nights. What song would you like to hear him sing? Let us know in the comments below.
