Kelsea Ballerini Talks About Her First Kiss with Boyfriend Chase Stokes

Kelsea Ballerini was recently a guest on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where she opened up about her relationship with actor Chase Stokes. Ballerini revealed the story of their first kiss and shared that they got matching tattoos.
Kelsea Ballerini Talks About First Kiss with Chase Stokes
Ballerini and Stokes got together after she slid into his Instagram DMs when she was “drunk with my friends at a bar.” She advised other people to shoot their shot, saying, “You just can’t put that much pressure on yourself or what may or may not happen.”
The singer said she tells Stokes he’s “a man written by a woman,” calling him “the most emotionally intelligent man I’ve ever met in my entire life.”
Ballerini and Stokes started talking on December 1 of last year. She shared that they were supposed to have their first date on January 8, but they ended up meeting a day earlier. He came to a party she was performing at and met her at valet afterward.
“He hopped out of his Bronco, and he did not say a word to me, and he grabbed my face and he kissed me,” Ballerini recalled. “And he pulled my face away, and he said, ‘Thank God you’re real’ … It was just so redeeming for my experience of men and relationships.”

The Couple Got Matching Tattoos
“Now I’ve spilled it on here, and we have matching tattoos. So we can’t break up,” Ballerini said, before showing host Alex Cooper the Virgo tattoo that she recently got with Stokes. She added that her relationship with Stokes (who is also a Virgo) made her embrace her sign.
Ballerini said people are surprised by how public she is about her relationship with Stokes, to which she responds, “Yeah, ’cause it’s so good. Like, it’s good and it’s real. And we are experiencing life as it happens to us and for us. Why would we not?”
The singer also addressed the fact that Stokes still works with his ex-girlfriend Madelyn Cline on the show Outer Banks. Ballerini said Cline is “lovely” and “wildly talented.” She said she doesn’t buy into people trying to pit them against each other and “make a thing out of nothing.”
