Kelly Clarkson Teases New Talk Show Season
“We’re taking the show on the road,” Clarkson says in the new promo for her show, which shows her hanging out on a tour bus. The narrator then says, “We’re traveling coast to coast, across the country, to kick off Season 4 in NYC.”
Clarkson then jokes, “New York, New York is getting Kelly, Kelly. It’s so nice I had to say it twice.”
The clip reveals that the new season will premiere on September 12. You can check your local listings to find out when and where to watch. If you want to see the show in person, you can sign up for tickets now, with tapings coming up next month in Universal City, California.
This new season is an especially big deal for Clarkson, because she’s taking over Ellen DeGeneres’ former daytime slot. And she’s not the only former American Idol star with a talk show this fall. Jennifer Hudson will be kicking off her own show the same day.
Clarkson Is Holding a Kellyoke Search This Season
As Clarkson prepares for the new season of her talk show, she’s also holding a competition to find duet partners for her popular Kellyoke segment. The search started earlier this month in New York City, with more stops in Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
Clarkson recently enjoyed a summer off spent with her kids in Montana. This was the reason she chose not to return to The Voice for Season 22 this fall, as she told Today, “I just hadn’t had a minute, and it’s obviously been a rough couple years. So it was really important to me to, like, shut down for a minute.”
Since its premiere in 2019, Clarkson’s talk show has been a hit. Earlier this year, it took home seven Daytime Emmys. Clarkson herself has won the Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host award three years in a row.
