Katy Perry is gearing up to release a new album, and she recently invited fans and members of the media to a listening party teasing the project. The album is said to feature some great collaborations, and has even been described as her best work ever.

Katy Perry Teases New Album in Listening Party
The X (formerly Twitter) account Buzzing Pop summed up what attendees at Perry’s listening party had to say about the songs they heard from her new album. The project apparently features some exciting features, and the eight songs previewed were described as “bops.”
The album is being described as Perry’s best work to date, and “one of the biggest comebacks.” It’s even been compared to The Emancipation of Mimi, Mariah Carey’s 2005 album which is considered her comeback.
“You aren’t even ready,” one attendee can be heard saying in a video. “You guys aren’t even ready for the bops that are coming your way.”
The account Pop Flop shared that the artists who are rumored to be featured on Perry’s new album include Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, Taylor Swift, and Ariana Grande. Perry has yet to reveal any details about the upcoming project.

Perry Called the Project ‘Bright and Joyful’
In April, Perry talked to Billboard about her upcoming new album, saying it’s “very bright and joyful, like pure joy and fun and playful and celebratory and a party.” She said she wanted to go against the idea that albums about happiness are boring.
“I just have yet to make a record from a place of feeling really happy and whole and full of love,” Perry said. “Sometimes artists are like, ‘Oh, that’s boring, you want to make music from kind of like a tougher place.'”
Perry has yet to announce a release date or share any singles from the new project. We don’t even know the album’s title yet. Hopefully we’ll find out more soon.
